Khao Phanom Bencha National Park is 20 kms from Krabi town along Talad Kao-Ban Huai Too Road. It covers a total area of 50 sq.km. including:: Amphoe Ao Luk, Amphoe Khao Phanom, and Amphoe Muang Krabi.

Phanom Bencha National Park has a thick virgin forest on its high peaks and is rumoured to contain a tiger.

Serious hikers should head to Phanom Bencha Mountain, the 1,400m Phanom Bencha peak will take three days to climb.

Namtok Khlong Haeng / Namtok Ton Han

Namtok Khlong Haeng is 500 meters high and springs from Khao Thep Bencha - the tallest mountain in Krabi province. Namtok Khlong Haeng is 10 kms up in the park. Namtok Ton Han is 16 kms from the District Headquarters.

The fauna (trees) of Khao Phanom Bencha park includes :: Hopea odorata, Dipterocarpus alatus, lagerstronemia cupida, Malacca teak, Michelia champaca, Parkia speciosa, Baccarea sapida.

Khao Phanom Bencha National park is also home to wild pigs, panthers, clouded leopards, black bears, mouse deers, langurs, gibbons, Stump-tailed monkeys, Asiatic wild dog, squirrel, iorises, white-rumped shama, hornbills, and pheasants.
