Wats in Krabi

Tiger Cave temple – aka Wat Tham Sua – is located near Krabi Town in southern Thailand. “Tiger cave” temple is a must see during any exploration of Krabi town.

It is one of the more interesting temple complexes in southern Thailand, as the monks live and worship within a maze of natural caves in an overgrown jungle valley.

Wat Tham Sua teaches a form of Buddhism called Vipassana. The temporary nature of the body is on display and the dead body parts help the monks to focus on more spiritual matters.

You can also climb the 1279 steps to the top of a karst peak and get a panaramic view of Krabi provience.

วัดถ้ำเสือ/ Wat Tham Sua / วัดถ้ำเสือ

วัดถ้ำเสือ ตั้งอยู่ที่ตำบลกระบี่น้อย อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดกระบี่ อยู่ห่างในตัวเมืองกระบี่ ประมาณ9 กิโลเมตร ทางเข้าวัด อยู่ตรงกันข้ามกับป้อมตำรวจทางหลวง

Wat Sai Thai

Not far from Ao Nang located along the main road. Giant lying Buddha under the cliff and some small golden sitting buddha worth a stop. Quick photo op not much more.

Wat Klong Tom

In the Klong Tom district this temple museum hosts a collection of ancient stones, bronze tools, coins, pottery, decorations and beads which are reputedly to be more than 5000 years old.
