News Report – Krabi Coral
Yes they are limiting access to the Phi Phi diving sites, as of January 21 2011 until further notice, but the snorkeling sites in Krabi are still open.
This was a sudden decision by the government and not all details are clear. I will let you know if there are any changes effecting your tour plans.

Coral Bleaching Facts
Just last week (Jan 17, 2011) I had guest mention that they thought the corals around Hong Island looked a little sick. This week Thai National Park officals have closed 18 dive sites throughout Thailand. In Krabi the closures effect only Hin Klang diving site. As of now … in Krabi province … park officials of the Had Noppharat Thara National Park and Phi Phi Islands National Park have sealed off Hin Klang Island.
